EU Special Representative, Toivo Klaar, met in Yerevan on Thursday (12 October) with Armenian Prime Minister, Nikol Pashinyan. The meeting is seen as part of the preparations for a crucial tripartite summit later this month in Brussels between the Armenian prime minister and the Azerbaijani president, Ilham Aliyev, together with European Council president, Charles Michel. The meeting is likely to determine if a peace agreement between Armenia and Azerbaijan is within reach.
In Yerevan, Klaar also met with the Secretary of the National Security Council, Armen Grigorian.
