Armenia has confirmed its intention to take part in US-led military exercises later this month after confusion around whether they would indeed take part.
On Thursday (6 April), the US Department of Defense reported on its website that Armenia would take part in the Defender 2023 multinational military exercises later this month.
Shortly after, however, the report was edited and Armenia was removed from the list of participating nations.
Speaking to Armenpress on Friday (7 April), the Armenian Defense Ministry spokesperson Aram Torosyan confirmed their intention to take part in the drills.
"This year, the Armenian Ministry of Defense is planning to participate in two other military exercises organized by the US army command in Europe – KFOR (Kosovo Force) and Saber Junction military exercises," he said.
