Armenia to elect new president in March

The Armenian prime minister, Nikol Pashinyan, announced earlier today that the Armenian parliament would elect a new president next month.

Civil Contract Party nominated the minister of High-Tech Industry Vahagn Khachaturyan for the position.

The ex-president, Armen Sargissian, resigned on 23 January, citing the presidency's lack of power as a reason.
