Azerbaijan requests to postpone 12 June talks in Washington

Azerbaijan has requested to postpone a planned round of talks in Washington D.C. on 12 June between their Foreign Minister, Jeyhun Bayramov, and his Armenian counterpart, Ararat Mirzoyan.

In a statement released on social media, the Armenian foreign ministry spokesperson Ani Badalyan said, "at the request of the Azerbaijani side, the next round of discussions planned to take place next week in Washington D.C. is postponed. The public will be duly informed on the new timeframes of the meeting."

The meeting of foreign ministers was to precede another meeting of Armenian and Azerbaijani leaders on 21 July in Brussels.
