EU Special Representative for the South Caucasus, Toivo Klaar, on Monday (23 January) met in Yerevan with Armenian prime minister, Nikol Pashinyan.
In a tweet on his arrival in Yerevan the EU envoy said
Back in Yerevan for a day of meetings. The situation around the Lachin corridor is serious and solutions have to urgently be found. I look forward to discussions to explore ways forward. The 🇪🇺 goal remains a comprehensive 🇦🇲-🇦🇿 settlement.

According to Armenian sources during his meeting with prime minister Pashinyan, Klaar discussed the situation in the region, as well as issues related to Armenia-European Union cooperation.Â
Attyending the meeting were the Head of the EU Delegation to Armenia, Ambassador Andrea Wiktorin and the Secretary of the Armenian National Security Council, Armen Grigoryan.
