Russian president, Vladimir Putin, and French president, Emmanuel Macron, had a telephone conversation on Monday (26 April). The Kremlin press service said that the call was at the initiative of the French side. A number of issues were discussed, including the situation in Ukraine. But the Kremlin press service in a readout of the conversation published on its website, said that the two presidents also discussed the situation in and around Nagorno-Karabakh.
"The situation around Nagorno-Karabakh was considered. It was stated with satisfaction that the situation remains calm, systematic work continues to implement the statements of the Presidents of Russia and Azerbaijan and the Prime Minister of Armenia on Nagorno-Karabakh dated November 9, 2020 and January 11, 2021. Mutual readiness was expressed to co-ordinate on various aspects of the Nagorno-Karabakh settlement, including through the OSCE Minsk Group ."
