Two Azerbaijanis injured in landmine blast

According to Azerbaijan’s Mine Action Agency (ANAMA), two Azerbaijani civilians have been wounded in a mine blast earlier today (18 February).

A report from the Agency said that the explosion took place in an area of the Tartar region where de-mining actives had not yet been carried out.

The identities of the victims of were revealed as Alishan Safarov, and Faig Safarov, employees of the State Agency of Azerbaijan Automobile Roads, who were carrying out repair work when the explosion occurred. Both received various injuries, and were hospitalised as a result. The case is reported to be under current investigated by the relevant government bodies.
