In this op-ed for commonspace.eu, in light of recent Armenia-Azerbaijan negotiations in Washington D.C., Benyamin Poghosyan argues that Armenia needs to better explain what it means by its demand for an international presence in Nagorno Karabakh.
"Lack of clarity on what Armenia is seeking to see coming out of the negotiations makes it difficult for it to build international support to put pressure on Azerbaijan to at least discuss these issues instead of expressing blanket rejections. A more detailed Armenian vision can also be useful in bringing the current negotiations to a successful conclusion," he writes.
